Recreational Youth Soccer

La Liga KC is a recreational soccer league dedicated to teaching kids the fundamentals of soccer. Players will learn game rules, ball-handling, strategy, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our goal is not only to teach kids soccer, but also to create community and a love for sports.

We offer programs for kids in preschool (age 3) - 5th Grade.

We are proud to represent the Northland of KC and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to building the community through youth sports.

Our games are located at the athletic fields at Hodge Park (96 NE Reinking Rd).

SEASONS

We offer two seasons every year!

Spring Season: April - May
Fall Season: September - October

Each season is seven weeks long with games on Saturdays. Regular registration closes a month before games begin.

PROGRAMS

Chicos

Preschool Age (3-5)

Game Time - 9:30 AM

The chicos division is focused on getting the players exposed to team sports. Coaches are hands on, offering guidance during games.

D6

K-1st Grade Age

Game Time - 8:30 AM

Players work on teamwork and basic skills including passing and ball handling. Coaches are on the field during games, helping the players with positioning.

D8

2nd-3rd Grade Age

Game Time - 10:30 AM

Players learn the difference between offense and defense. Strategy and goalies are introduced in D8. Coaches are on the sideline during games.

D10

4th-5th Grade Age

Game Time - 12:00 AM

D10 is our oldest age group. Players in this group work on running plays and working as a unit. Coaches seek to cement the fundamentals for the players.

Spring 2026 - Spring 2026

Location -

Games are played at Hodge Park (96 NE Reinking Rd, KCMO 64157).

Practices are held at Hodge Park, or other available fields in the Northland/Liberty area depending on the preference of the coach.

Dates & Times -

Games are every Saturday April 4th - May 16th, with May 23rd reserved as a makeup day. Game times are between 8:30AM and 1:00PM based on division.

Practices are once a week M-F. The specific day of the week and time is determined after registration by your assigned coach. Preferred practice days are asked during registration, but not guaranteed.

Uniforms - All players are required to purchase a Jersey Bundle through our League Store. Jerseys are the same season-to-season and DO NOT need to be purchased every season. If your order does not arrive in time you may wear a similar color t-shirt until it does.

Coaching - Coaches are volunteers (parents, guardians, family friends). Volunteers will be reimbursed for the registration fee of the child they are coaching! Please consider volunteering! You must register as a volunteer.

Price - Chicos divisions (preschool) cost $75. D6-D10 divisions (K-5th grade) cost $95. Last registration fees are $20.
