Location - Games and most practices are held at Hodge Park (96 NE Reinking Rd, Kansas City, MO 64157).
Practices - Practice days are different for each team, and are assigned post registration. Preference is asked during registration. Most practices are held at Hodge Park, however depending on coach preference they can be held at any available field in the Northland/Liberty area.
Games - All games are held on Saturdays at Hodge Park. Each team will play 7 games. Times depend on division.
Coaches - We count on volunteers like YOU to coach our teams. Volunteers receive a refund for the registered child they are coaching. Equipment including goals, cones, pinnies, and a whistle will be provided by the league. Please consider coaching, register yourself as a volunteer**!
Referees - Our referees are local youth who are trained and paid by La Liga KC. If you have a child 14 years or older interested in refereeing please fill out an application.
Player Equipment - Each player is required to have a Jersey Bundle - Teal (Home) and White (Away) - purchased through registration, soccer cleats (no toe cleat), shin guards, and socks to cover the shin guards. In addition, each player must have their own soccer ball for practice.
- Chico and D6 - size 3 soccer ball
- D8 and D10 - size 4 soccer ball
Divisions - The league is split into 5 divisions based on school grade.
- Chicos A - Preschool (Ages 3 - 4.5) - Games at 10:00AM
- Chicos B - Preschool (Ages 4.5 - 5) - Games at 10:00 AM
- D6 - K/1st Grade - Games at 9:00AM
- D8 - 2nd/3rd Grade - Games at 11:00AM
- D10 - 4th/5th Grade - Games at 12:00PM
Weather Policy - The safety of our players is the top priority. If there is thunder and lightning games will be cancelled. You will receive an email at 8am the Saturday of games announcing if they are cancelled. Practices are up to the discretion of the coach.
** If an inadequate number of coaches volunteer then there WILL be teams created without a coach. It will then be up to ALL the parents of the players on that team to coordinate practices and games.
