FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Where and when are games and practices held?

A: La Liga KC soccer games are played at Hodge Park on Saturday mornings depending on age/division. Practices are mainly held at Hodge Park, however other fields in the Northland/Liberty area may be used depending on the preference of the coach.

Q: How many games will be played?

A: We will play seven games and have one additional Saturday reserved at the end of the season in case of a weather cancellation.

Q: Can I request to play with someone?

A: Yes, please make requests during the registration process and La Liga KC will do the best they can to accommodate special requests. You may also request a specific coach.

Q: What equipment do I need?

A: Each player will need shin guards, socks to cover the shin guards, soccer cleats (no toe cleat, may not use baseball or football cleats), a water bottle, and a soccer ball in the size appropriate for the age/division the player is participating in. Chicos and D6 will use a size 3 ball; D8 and D10 use size 4.

Q: How do I get my jersey?

A: You can purchase your jersey through registration. Jerseys are the same year to year and you do not need to buy one every season. You can pick up your jersey at Meet-the-Team.

Q: Are snack/treat assignments mandatory?

A: Post game snacks and treats will be decided by the head coach and the parents, but La Liga KC encourages all to be extremely mindful of food allergies and intolerances.

Q: How will weather cancellations be decided and will they be made up?

A: Health and safety of the children is a high priority to La Liga KC. Weather-related cancellations will be decided on the morning of the game day with an e-mail update and updates to our website and Facebook page. There will be ONLY one additional week reserved at the end of the seven-game season for weather-cancelled games. If there are two or more games cancelled due weather related issues, only one game will be made up.
